What do you do at Revolution?

Starting in August 2011, I became the newest member of the Revolution staff as the Children's Ministry Director.  This is a wonderful opportunity to not only bring our children back to God, but also introduce some of them to the King of Kings!  I help to keep Planet Rev organized and desirable for children and their families to return each week.

Experience?

I began my studies at Southwestern College in Phoenix, AZ on a music scholarship and studied Elementary Education.  I never completed my studies due to the fact that I met and married my husband in college and then started a family soon after.  My experience comes from God placing me in a preschool setting at Chapel in the Hills School for 11 years as an aide and teacher.  I was then promoted to director of the same school for two years.  After leaving the school, I stayed on at the church as their Children's Ministry Director.  I love children!!!  During that time, I also worked with my husband in the area of youth.

How big is your family?

Dave and I have been married since 1987 and have three grown children, Daniel, Selena and Nathan.  I don't come from a particularly large family, but married into one; couldn't count how many aunts, uncles and cousins there are.  Both Dave and my parents have strong marriages to follow after.

What do you do for fun? or What are your hobbies?

I love to go to camp; not camping, but camp! I also like to spend time hanging out with family, work in the yard, ride roller coasters and bake.  Above all, I love to sing.

What bands are you listening to right now?

I'm not familiar with too many new bands.  I have eclectic tastes.  I like old bands like Journey, Styx, Earth Wind and Fire.  Singers like Dean Martin and Bing Crosby.  Also Disciple, Seventh Day Slumber, Petra, David Crowder, Fee, RED, Hillsongs, Switchfoot....the list goes on.  I even listened to some of my boy's screamo bands.

Who are your favorite authors?

Erwin McManus. Don't actually take a lot of time to get reading done - something I need to change.

What do you get at Starbucks?

I love a venti caramel macchiato hot or mocha coconut frap.
