A foundational belief at Revolution is that church should be one of the most creative and innovative places on the planet, yet many of us can remember times when we went to church and were bored beyond acceptable limits. Each week at Revolution is different even though we use a lot of the same elements. We realize that attending a church for the first time can be very stressful because we have all been the new person at some point. Our goal is to alleviate those feelings before you show up.
Inside the main worship area you will notice the music, video screens and candles. All of these, as well as some other elements have been prepared in order to set the mood for the worship time to follow. We want you to feel the freedom to engage in a way that is comfortable to you. Feel free to sit or stand and participate as much as you want.
We strive to be a New Testament church. When you drove in, you passed a sign that said church. It is intended to remove any doubt for you about where you are and what Revolution is about. Our message series are typically complete books of the Bible because we believe that the Bible is the story of God, His love and His plan for us. It explains how He interacts with His creation both past and present. We want to see His story continue to unfold before us, and discover our place in it. We also want the Bible to be an active part of our community. Instead of picking the topics we preach on, we allow the Bible to give direction as we move through the different books.
Every week, we take communion together as part of our worship. This is an opportunity for those who follow Christ to pause and look back over the week. We take some time to remember what Jesus did for us, as well as look forward to the hope that we have as His followers. Communion is open to all who feel comfortable taking it and is a highlight of our gathering.
WHEN AND WHERE
We meet every Sunday at 9am & 10:30am at Empire High School, which is located at 10701 E Mary Ann Cleveland Way, off of S Houghton Road in Tucson.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
It is very important to us that Revolution be a church where you feel comfortable coming as you are. You are likely to see the band and speaker dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, perhaps even wearing shorts when it’s hot.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY KIDS?
At Revolution we have a great environment for kids of all ages.
For children, birth to 5th grade we have REVkids, which meets during the main worship gathering. One of our friendly greeters will be glad to show you to the check in area. We have a computerized check in and security system and all of our volunteers have been trained and submitted to background checks before being in the classroom with your child. Your kids will love their experience and you will be able to feel confident about their surroundings so that you can freely enter into the worship experience.
If you have a student in grades 6th - 12th, we would love to see them at REVstudents at 9am on Sunday mornings. Our goal is to help middle and high school students become who God has called them to be. Here, students have opportunities to serve, to learn and to grow together with their friends in ways that are relevant to them as students. Our leaders in REVstudents are mature in their faith, and dedicated to coming alongside the students and families they serve as they help students find their way back to God.
IS IT JUST SUNDAYS?
Definitely not. Our church meets and serves together in various locations throughout the city of Tucson through REVcommunities. These small groups meet during the school year to further study the passage from Sunday and seek to live in authentic, Biblical community that challenges and encourages each person to grow in following Jesus. For more information on these groups you can click HERE.
