Everyone wants to be happy. We look for it in friends, kids, marriage, sex, money, stuff, and career. Yet, less than half of Americans are happy with their jobs, only 20% of married couples are happily married.
No one seems to be happy.
But what if we have missed the point? What if we are not looking for happiness? For most people The Blessed Life has everything to do with happiness and that happiness comes from more stuff.
What God calls us to and the point of the book of Philippians is to fight for and look for joy. Joy is different from happiness. It is not fleeting or tied to temporary things. It does not come and go. It is based on God and who He is.

- Question to think on this week:
Do I really believe that God loves me?
Am I resting in that to give me joy or counting on something else for joy?
