On May 26, we are moving to 1 worship service on Saturday nights. The reason for this stems from our move as a church that is coming up at the end of August. While we have not finalized where we are moving to, the places we are in discussion with are all larger than where we meet right now. Because of this, when we move we will be in 1 service. We thought it would be best to not change everything (location, service times) all at once, instead, doing a little at a time.
Doing 1 service is different than doing 2. Largely for Rev Up and Planet Rev and we want to make sure that we are all set to go in those areas for when we move. In case you don't know this, typically when a church moves to a new location they get new people from that move. New people see our signs that didn't before, there is excitement about a new location and what that means, much like moving into a new house.
As a leadership team, we are excited about this. We will get to spend the summer worshiping together as an entire church instead of being split in different services. Also, as we look towards where we will meet in the fall, the fact that all the places we are talking to are larger than where we currently meet tells us that God has some big plans for Revolution Church in the future and that He has plans to use us to reach more people and help more people in Tucson find their way back to God.
So, starting May 26, we will have 1 service at 5pm.
