The church is the family of God together called to Him and sent out on His mission. REVcommunities are the primary means through which Revolution Church will mobilize people together on mission and connect people to a caring community.

DEFINITION

A REVcommunity consists of a committed core of believers who live out the mission of God together in a specific area or to a particular group by demonstrating the gospel in tangible forms and declaring the gospel to others, both those who believe it and those who are being exposed to it.

To clarify, a REVcommunity is NOT primarily a small group, Bible study, support group, social activist group, or weekly meeting.

Our hope is that every person who is committed to the Revolution family and mission will be fully involved in a REVcommunity and that eventually the REVcommunities in a region will multiply and form another planting site for Revolution Church.

DNAs

DNA (Discipleship, Nurture, Accountability) groups are smaller communities of 2-4  people of the same gender that form out of the REVcommunity.  This is a place where deeper, more intentional relationships are built in order to grow in one’s relationship with God. DNAs meet regularly for discipleship, care, and accountability. During a DNA meeting, one can expect to discuss what one is learning in personal time spent in the Bible via the Daily Devotionals, which coincide with the Revolution sermon series, confess areas of sin or struggles in one’s life, and pray for one another as well as those with whom you are sharing the gospel.

Each REVcommunity will be characterized by the following:

  • It will be led by a team committed to leading, shepherding, equipping, and organizing a community on mission
  • It will grow together in understanding and application of the gospel to who we are (Identity) because of God's work in and through Jesus
  • It will live out life as a family on mission together and be the church together throughout the week
  • It will identify and release new leadership to begin new REVcommunities. The goal of each community is to multiply at least once a year
