Worship and Arts Pastor

What do you do at Revolution?
I am the worship and arts pastor at Revolution Church which means I get to plan, prepare, lead worship and lead our worship teams at Revolution. I also do most of the behind the scenes creative planning and preparation for our social media, service media, and stage design for Revolution.

Experience
I have a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies and have served my entire adult life (17 years) in either Bi-Vocational or Full Time ministry.  I have lead worship teams in many different environments such as youth camps, youth ministries, revivals, conferences, small groups, street ministries, and within the context of church services.  Through the years I have also taken great joy as a speaker and presenter of the Gospel in church services, camps, student ministry, and community clubs and organizations.

Tell us about your family
I've been married to my wife Jaime since November 26, 2004.  We got married the day after Thanksgiving and immediately moved to Iowa for Full Time ministry there.  Jaime is a key element of who I am as a leader, she has always been by my side and fully engaged in serving others the way Jesus would serve them.  She has a strong heart for leading worship and teaching the next generation all about the things of Jesus and their next steps in Him.  God has blessed us with 2 beautiful and talented children, Finley (9) who loves to play baseball and video games, and Remi (5) who loves to sing with such a free spirit.  We arrived in Tucson on July 4th 2018 from St. Louis Missouri where our family is from originally.

What do you do for fun?
I love to spend time with my beautiful wife.  One of our favorite activities is riding the motorcycle on weekend trips and seeing the country in a whole new way.  I also enjoy loving and hanging out with my kids, which often includes snuggling on the couch and watching movies.  When I get time I love to sneak out to the garage and build furniture using things that are repurposed.  The majority of our house is furnished with things that I have built out of old and nostalgic things.  I also enjoy basketball, baseball, and coaching my son in those areas as well.

What bands are you listening to right now?
Our family is very musical and we love to sing all of the time.  I truly wish I had a spiritual answer for this question, but for some odd reason my radio has been dialed in to country music the past couple of years.  I grew up in a home that listened to country all of the time, however, I despised it.  In the past couple of years the story telling has caught my ear again. Our family also enjoys listening to old vinyl on our record player with the likes of Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many more of the old greats.  I guess you could say I'm an old soul at heart.

Who are your favorite authors?
With so many other hobbies I can honestly say that reading is probably down on the list for me, and typically take a good sum of time to chew up any book (maybe it's just the season of life I'm in).  With this said I do love a good book on leadership and it's practices.  My shelf is stocked with books from John Maxwell, Mark Batterson, and Andy Stanley.  I'm also currently reading through this great book by a local pastor entitled "Breathing Room", you should definitely check it out.
