Planet Rev
If you want a fun, safe and age-appropriate place for your children while you are at Revolution Church then Planet Rev is the place for you! Planet Rev’s vision echo’s that of the church as a whole; we desire to partner with parents to help kids find their way back to God as we live by faith, are known by love, and provide a voice of hope. We encourage kids to connect with God and others in an exciting way that makes sense to them through worship, directed play, hands on Bible lessons, and meaningful relationships. Our teachers are screened and trained to help make Saturday nights one of your child's favorite experiences of the week!
Planet Rev meets at the same time as the adult service each Saturday night. While you are experiencing the creative and innovative worship of Revolution Church, your children are engaged in learning about and experiencing God too.
Infants/Toddlers
The Planet Rev nursery is a loving and safe environment to care for and nurture children birth through two years. It is divided into two connected classrooms. Each room is designed to meet the needs of your child. The Infant room is for children birth through age one (or walking). As children begin walking, they move into the Toddler room.
We recommend that parents bring a diaper bag, including diapers, wipes, bottle, and a change of clothes, all labeled with your child's name. Please feel welcome to bring comfort items your child might enjoy as well such as a blanket, pacifier, or favorite toy. A snack will be provided for children in the toddler room.
2's & 3's
Our Two’s and Three’s are ready to discover God’s love through short Bible stories, songs, fingerplays, and fun! Children enter this class when they turn two. If your child is 2 or turned 3 since 8/31/10, he/she will enjoy this class.
Preschool
The Planet Rev Preschool class is an exciting environment. It is designed for children who turned 3 years old by 8/31/10 through children who are five years old. This year, Pre-K children are using curriculum from a series entitled The Ark. Children will explore the story of God as they play in centers, learn a Bible story, and create fun crafts. Your child won't want to miss a single week!
Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
Kindergartners through 5th graders meet together to learn valuable lessons from the life of Jesus, practice using and reading the Bible, gain understanding about how to be an example to others, and begin finding ways that they can serve God with the gifts He's given them. The class is divided into four dynamic segments. First, children build relationships during Activity Stations. Next, they will move into large group worship where they will sing songs and enjoy worshiping God through music and movement. Third, they have a large group Bible Lesson. Last, children will break into K-2nd, and 3rd-5th grade team time. During team time, children will have a chance to dive deeper into God's Word through crafts, games, and interactive Bible activities on their age level. Don't miss out on this wonderful adventure!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the Planet Rev Nursery. You are welcome to take new infants into the auditorium with you prior to that time.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
All parents are asked to sign in their children. During the sign in process, you will receive a security card with your child's assigned number. If we need to contact you, we will display your child's number on the two screens at the front of the auditorium. If you child's number appears on the screens, please return to the room where you dropped your child off. There is a Family Room available for you to take your child and listen to the remainder of the service. It is located at the bottom of the stairs in the courtyard. Look for the Family Room sign on the double, glass doors. Toys and a changing table are provided for your convenience.
Is there a private area for nursing mothers?
Nursing mothers are encouraged to use the screened area in our Family Room. The Family Room is located at the bottom of the stairs outside the auditorium. Look for the double, glass doors with the Family Room Sign. Here you will be able to relax and continue listening to the service. A changing table is also provided for your convenience.
Will my child have the same teacher each week?
We have a wonderful team of teachers who rotate through a monthly schedule. Each set of teachers has committed to serve once a month. You will begin to recognize them quickly.
How can I volunteer in Planet Rev?
There are many positions available where you can serve, and we would love for you to get involved. Positions include greeting families, teaching, co-teaching, being part of the large group worship team and many more.
Where will I find my children's classrooms?
Planet Rev classes are in the Children's Building inside the gated courtyard. There will be a Guest Sign-in Table just outside the courtyard with someone who can help point you in the right direction.
