Planet Rev
If you want a fun, safe and age-appropriate place for your children while you are at Revolution Church then Planet Rev is the place for you! Planet Rev’s vision echo’s that of the church as a whole; we desire to partner with parents to help kids find their way back to God as we live by faith, are known by love, and provide a voice of hope. We encourage kids to connect with God and others in an exciting way that makes sense to them through worship, directed play, hands on Bible lessons, and meaningful relationships. Our teachers are screened and trained to use Group Publishing's Faithweaver curriculum. All our children from the Lift Off room to 360º Revolution will learn the same story and parents will receive take home materials to extend their Bible learning at home.
Planet Rev meets at the same time as the adult service each Saturday night. While you are experiencing the creative and innovative worship of Revolution Church, your children are engaged in learning about and experiencing God too.
Nursery (Born after 9.1.06)
The Planet Rev nursery is a loving and safe environment to care for and nurture children birth through two years. It is divided into two connected classrooms. ach room is designed to meet the needs of your child. The Launch Pad room is for children birth through crawlers. As children begin walking, they move into the Lift Off room. Children in the Lift Off room will learn a short Bible story, sing songs, and participate in play that reinforces the Bible thought for the night.
We recommend that parents bring a diaper bag, including diapers, wipes, bottle, and a change of clothes, all labeled with your child's name. Please feel welcome to bring comfort items your child might enjoy as well such as a blanket, pacifier, or favorite toy. A Cheerios snack will be provided for children who are old enough to eat solid foods.
Preschool (3's, 4's, and 5's)
The Planet Rev Preschool class is an exciting environment that we call Next Dimension. It is designed for children three through five years old. Children will explore the story of God as they play in centers, engage with the elementary class in large group worship, participate in games, interact with Theo - our Faith Retriever puppet, and create fun crafts. Your child won't want to miss a single week!
Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
Planet Rev's elementary class is called 360º Revolution. Kindergartners through 5th graders meet together to learn valuable lessons from the life of Jesus, gain understanding about how to be an example to others, and begin finding ways that they can serve God with the gifts He's given them. The class is divided into four dynamic segments. First, children will be introduced to the Bible point. This segment will set the tone for the evening as they participate in a short, mind-grabbing activity. Next, they will move into large group worship where they will sing songs and learn an object lesson with the Preschoolers. At the end of worship, they will return to their classroom to learn the Bible story in a fun and interactive way. Last, children will break into K-2, and 3-5th grade small groups. During small group, children will have a chance to dive deeper into God's Word through crafts, games, and interactive Bible activities on their age level. Don't miss out on this wonderful adventure!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How old does my child have to be to start attending the nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six weeks old prior to bringing him or her to the Planet Rev Nursery. You are welcome to take new infants into the worship gathering with you prior to that time.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
All parents are asked to sign in their children. During the sign in process, you will receive a security card with your child's assigned number for that week. If we need to contact you, we will display your child's number on the two screens at the front of the worship gathering. If you child's number appears on the screens, please return to the room where you dropped your child off.
Is there a private area for nursing mothers?
For mother's that would like a private nursing area, we are working to renovate the Ladies restroom in the main building. Until the renovation is complete, you are welcome to go into the Lift Off room to nurse your child. We hope to have this renovation finished quickly!
Will my child have the same teacher each week?
We have a wonderful team of teachers who rotate through a monthly schedule. Each set of teachers has committed to serve once a month. You will begin to recognize them quickly.
How can I volunteer in Planet Rev?
There are many positions available where you can serve, and we would love for you to get involved. Positions include greeting families, teaching, co-teaching, being part of the large group worship team and many more.
Where will I find my children's classrooms?
We have four Planet Rev classrooms. The Nursery rooms are located in the main building. The Preschool and Elementary rooms are located across the breezeway in our children’s building. Please use the map below to help you find out where to take your children.
