Partnership

Here at Revolution, we take steps and commitment very seriously. At many
churches, they will refer to those who attend or are committed to a specific
church as members. For us, that feels like church is a country club, where
members pay dues to have certain rights and privileges.

At Revolution, we call this process partnership. We do not view this as
getting your name put on some list at the church office. Partnership is
about joining a family that is united in belief and purpose in order to
experience Jesus and share Him with the world. Partners at Revolution are
united theologically, sharing common views about God and His Word. We are
also united in our mission and philosophy, which stem from our theology, and
justify our existence as a local church. Our values lead us to be united in
our mission to Tucson and to the world. Partners fight for unity so that we
can faithfully live out the gospel together for the sake of the world.
Partnership is our pathway to unity.

Partnership is also a pathway for people to be equipped. It is a way of
creating more room to include, empower, and release people. It provides a
platform for people to grow in their love for God and in their service to
others. Partnership pushes us to be authentic in our mission, it provides
accountability for those in leadership, and for the people they serve. It
also destroys the idea that Christianity is just me and Jesus; it moves us
towards seeing church as a community or family.

Being a partner at Revolution does have tangible benefits. It frees you up
to fully participate in our mission by entering into leadership. Partnership
is a prerequisite to leadership at Revolution. Probably the best benefit
that partners enjoy is the focused care of the elder team and LEAD team.

To become a partner at Revolution you must attend the partnership class.
After attending the class, you must fill out a spiritual gifts test
(provided at the class) and sign the partnership covenant.

The class covers:

  • What does it mean to be a Christian?
  • What is purpose of Revolution?
  • What are the benefits of being a partner?
  • What are the requirements of a partner?
  • What are the responsibilities of a partner?
  • What is the vision and strategy of this church?
  • How is Revolution organized?
  • How can I get involved at Revolution?

The Revolution Partnership Covenant is a stated commitment that we are
living in community together and seeking to embody unity through the
beliefs, philosophy and mission of Revolution through active expressions of
love and service.

Our next Partnership Class will be on August 22nd from 3 - 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall at 22nd St. Baptist Church. If you are interested in signing up, please email Christe LePeau at .
