Foreign Missions
Revolution is excited to announce a foreign missions partnership in the Czech Republic through Josiah Venture. There will be an informational meeting on Sunday, February 10th, immediately following the morning worship service.
The Czech republic is a unique and diverse part of the world. During the communist reign of 1960-1989, the government conducted a social experiment to see if faith in God was a natural human desire or an imposed cultural belief. During this time, citizens were not allowed to attend church and were persecuted and punished for participating in religious activities. Over that 30 year span, 250,000 people were sent to prison for "anti-state" activities and more than 400,000 left the country. The hope and mission of Josiah Venture is to bring the Gospel back to the Czech Republic, where only 4% of the population is considered Evangelical Christian and it is characterized as the most atheist nation on earth.
