What do I do at Revolution?

As the administrator I help to keep people informed of what is going on here at Revolution. That includes creating programs and other print materials needed for the service. In keeping information organized I help the leadership team and our community plan for upcoming events.

Experience?

My administrative skills come from an assortment of jobs and family life.  In college I was the office manager of a local construction company.  I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business with an emphasis on Computer Information Systems.  Once entering the “real world”, I worked for IBM.  My responsibilities included customer support of computer systems, data backup, recovery and management.  I started my own business in 2007, making me CEO and janitor.  Last, but not least, I help my husband in creating and maintaining a God-centered home.  All have helped me to learn the art of communication, coordinate schedules, and have a big picture view as well as focus on the details of day to day activities

How big is your family?

My husband, Shaun, and I were married on 04/04/04.  Shaun brought his beautiful daughter, Jeremy, to the marriage.  We have enjoyed raising her together, currently she is in middle school.  Our proudest moment being when she was baptized in 2011!  Within 5 days of our 1st anniversary we welcomed our daughter Layla and 15 short months later our daughter Deanna (or Dee), both are in elementary school now.

What do you do for fun or hobbies?

With 3 daughters, a lot of my hobbies include them and growing their experiences. When there is a free moment, I enjoy reading a good book, going for a drive or getting together with friends.  I also have a passion for Bible study, on my own or in groups.

What bands are you listening to right now?

My favorite is Casting Crowns, I love the heart-felt lyrics of their songs.  They always seem to speak into my life and my journey in getting closer to Christ.  Third Day is another favorite and I really enjoy the down-to-earth group, Need to Breathe.

Who are your favorite authors?

I will read anything written by Andy Stanely!  He has such a gift of putting our world into Biblical perspective.  I also enjoy Phillip Yancey, Mitch Albom and CS Friedman.

What is your favorite drink at Starbucks?

I either get a chai latte or plain latte - boring, I know.  But it’s easy to order and probably the healthiest on the menu.
