What do you do at Revolution?
I get to work with some of the most amazing volunteers in Tucson. Right now, I'm focusing on the kid's volunteers and I'm so excited!
I am finishing a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in sociology.
I have six years of experience working in the childcare field, but have focused my time on the amazing career of motherhood.
I also have spent over 20 years working with children's/youth ministry, and I have assisted my husband in coaching both women's and men's high school volleyball for 15 years.
Tell us about your family
I have a huge extended family, which is a precious component of my life. I have been married to Johnny, my husband, for 22 years. He's my best friend and I'm so thankful to God for the precious gift of my husband. I also have a son (18) and a daughter (17). They have taught me so much about the power of God's love.
What do you do for fun?
Get together with family and friends. I love community! It doesn't matter what we do, I just love hanging out with my people. If we can do it on the mountain with a picnic that is my favorite, but I will take what I can get.
What bands are you listening to right now?
That's a tough question because I listen to genre based stations more than band based stations. During my quiet time I like to reset with my favorite worship playlist. When it's school time I'm checking out stations like Einstein Study Music Academy or Secret Garden. When I'm driving around running the carpool I'm checking out music like Adele, the Greatest Showman soundtrack, some sort of funky freestyle music from back in the day, or a podcast. It really just depends on my mood. When I'm finally home and chilling again, I'm checking out a chill electronic station. There's just always music playing wherever I go.
Who are your favorite authors?
Again, another tough question. For the past few years I've been primarily reading massive amounts of textbooks so that leaves my brain a little fried for reading. However, I really like Baldacci when I'm reading at the end of the night to relax. True confession...my guilty pleasure is Janette Oke. It's just pure, simple, easy reading. I have had a little more time to read books like The Relational Soul and Road Back to You, and I really am enjoying those.
