What do you do at Revolution?
I volunteer in the children's ministry and sometimes I jump on stage and join the worship team. My new role is Volunteer Care Team Lead. I have the honor of supporting our ministry directors and team leads as we implement our new volunteer training resource, Ministry Grid.
I began volunteering at church as a teen and have continued to volunteer in various capacities. I have volunteered with variousorganizations in Tucson including:
- Lunch Volunteer Coordinator at Desert Christian Elementary
- Reading Seed at Wrightstown Elementary (Reading Coach/ Program Coordinator)
- Parent Teacher Association at Wrightstown and Henry Elementary (Parent Volunteer),
- Parent Advisory Committee at Academy of Tucson Middle School (Parent Volunteer Coordinator),
- Revolution Volunteer
I have learned so much about the value of volunteers and the importance they play in our community during my time with each of these organizations. I firmly believe we grow in faith and character as we serve together in community.
Tell us about your family
I have been married for 20 years to my best friend. We have two children who are growing way to quickly, however we are soaking up the moments and loving the opportunity to create an environment where they will fall in love with God.
What do you do for fun?
Our family enjoys escaping to the mountains when we can. We also enjoy watching movies and quoting movie lines. My favorite time of the week is date night where my husband and I take a night to check in with each other and reconnect. I guess you could say I hang out with my family to have fun.
